Today we have been koi hunting with Geoff kemp. The first visit was at Yagenji where we found a stunning two year kohaku. After that we have visit Kaneko farm that have now a new entry at the back of the farm. They have build a fantastic new road after the earth quake. It always look so easy to find platinum koi but geoff kemp had to work hard to find some good ones. After that we have done a koi harvest with Makoto Tanaka from Marusho Koi farm together with Fuijio Oomo. I need to say it is hard work if you do this with only two persons in heavy rain. Off course we have watch with pleasure and accept to be fully socked. After that we have seen some stunning koi from Marusho Koi Farm. Then we have looked at a beautiful true tategoi Showa from Fuiji Oomo at the Nijgata Nishikigoi Direct facility. This koi needs to stay at least one year longer in Japan to become a fantastic Koi. The same style Koi have won a major award on the latest Holland Koi show. In the next days I will update the blog with some more images, regards Jasper Kuijper
